Sculptra^® for buttocks in NJ—also commonly referred to as a Sculptra^® BBL, BBL fillers, or Sculptra^® butt injections—is often considered as a non-surgical alternative to the traditional Brazilian butt lift or BBL surgery. SCULPTRA FOR BUTTOCKS: WHAT CAUSES THE BUTT TO LOSE FULLNESS?

One reason why patients may seek Sculptra^® for buttocks is because their butt may have become less full and pert. Weight loss, aging, and pregnancy are some of the most common reasons for the butt to lose its fullness. As volume diminishes, the butt can become flatter. Volume loss can also cause the skin to appear “deflated,” leading to wrinkles and sagging.

WHAT IS SCULPTRA^® FOR BUTTOCKS?

Collagen is one of the major building blocks of many connective tissues in the body, where it provides strength and structure. Sadly, our body produces less of this protein over time, causing the skin to become thinner and sag in some areas, such as the butt.

Sculptra^® for buttocks is a minimally invasive treatment that involves biostimulatory fillers injected into the upper part of the butt. Sculptra^® for buttocks prompts the body to stimulate collagen production in the deeper layers of the skin as a way of enhancing the curve and shape of the buttocks without surgery. Sculptra^® contains microparticles of poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA) that stimulate natural collagen growth to thicken the skin.

Injections of Sculptra^® for hip dips are another common way in which this treatment is used. Many people feel that the filler can improve hip dimples or hip indentations to help patients achieve their ideal hourglass figure.

WHAT ARE THE PROS AND CONS OF SCULPTRA^® FOR BUTTOCKS?

Patients who are looking up butt lift techniques will discover that there are several advantages and disadvantages associated with Sculptra^® for buttocks. Sculptra^® butt injections can be ideal for a patient who is very thin and does not want or is not ready for BBL surgery or even a skinny BBL. There is minimal downtime and recovery for Sculptra^® for buttocks, along with a low risk of complications. Sculptra^® for buttocks can also be convenient, since it can be done quickly in a provider’s office.

On the downside, you will need a series of around three treatments of Sculptra^® for buttocks, each spaced several weeks apart. Furthermore, it may take up to six months for the results to be visible, and the results are much more modest than anything possible with surgery.

WHICH BUTT ENHANCEMENT TREATMENTS ARE AVAILABLE ASIDE FROM SCULPTRA^® FOR BUTTOCKS?

BBL injections—also known as BBL fillers like Sculptra^® for buttocks—may be appealing to some patients, but our Burnett Plastic Surgery team believes that a surgical Brazilian butt lift is the ideal choice for many. This procedure can provide dramatically shapelier buttocks that have better projection and a more lifted appearance with lasting results. A Brazilian butt lift involves reducing some of the patient’s own fat with liposuction from donor areas of the body and transferring this fat to the butt. BBL before and after photos can help you get a better idea of what can be achieve with this surgery.

BBL implants are another technique not offered by our team that some patients consider. This surgery involves silicone objects inserted into the buttocks to improve its fullness and shape.
