The treatment is an intradermal hyaluronic acid microdroplet injection that provides a smoother appearance to the cheeks. By improving the hydration of the skin, Skinvive^™ enhances its smoothness.

This microdroplet injectable form of Juvederm^® is often thought of as a “skin booster” rather than a facial filler. It works differently from other dermal fillers in the collection. Unlike traditional fillers, this treatment doesn’t actually add volume or fullness to the skin.

Fillers are typically designed to add volume to augment certain features such as the lips or cheeks. Skinvive^™ simply increases hydration by utilizing the moisture-attracting ability of hyaluronic acid to improve the appearance and quality of your skin rather than altering the shape of your face.

There are some mild, temporary side effects that are similar to those associated with other types of injectables, including some swelling, tenderness, bruising, or redness around the injection site area. These typically resolve within one week.
